The Wayne County Board will meet in regular session at 7 p.m. Thursday, August 13th in the upstairs courtroom of the Wayne County Courthouse.
Among the agenda items, board members will consider appointing Dr. Nicole Fyie to a three-year term on the Wayne County Board of Health, filling the second physician position required by state law.
The board will also consider a request from the Wayne County Probation Department to create a Public Services Coordinator position. The additional duties would be assigned to current employee Corinne Rodgers at an annual cost of $7,500.
Other business includes an engineering services agreement for a County Highway 2 bridge replacement and roadway transition project northeast of Geff, office reports, committee reports, payment of claims, and consideration of a liquor license application from Michael Steward, doing business as Party House Pizza.
County department budget requests for the 2027 fiscal year are due to the County Clerk’s Office by September 1st for review by the board’s Finance Committee.
