The McLeansboro Kiwanis Club has opened registration for its upcoming parade, which will celebrate the 250th anniversary of the United States on Saturday, September 12th at 6pm. This year’s parade theme is “Spirit of 1776 – Celebrating 250 Years.” Organizers are encouraging businesses, organizations, groups and individuals to participate by entering floats, walking in the parade or finding other ways to showcase their patriotic spirit. Participants are encouraged to decorate in red, white and blue as McLeansboro joins communities across the country in recognizing America’s 250th anniversary.
