The National Weather Service in Paducah says after some thunderstorms moved through the area overnight, mainly along the north and also south of the Interstate 64 corridor in southern Illinois, temperatures are expected to return closer to seasonal averages, with highs in the upper 80s through Saturday.
Another weather system approaches with thunderstorm chances from late Tuesday night through Thursday, with a small chance of strong to severe storms while temperatures will hold in the mid to upper 80s.
