The Wayne County Soil and Water Conservation District will host a Cover Crop Field Day tomorrow (Tuesday) beginning at 4 p.m. at the Greg Dickey Farm near Wayne City.
The program will feature presentations by David Kleinschmidt of Progressive Agronomy Consulting LLC, Torey Colburn of American Farmland Trust, and State Rep. Dave Severin. Attendees will also have the opportunity to participate in in-field demonstrations, view cover crop comparisons, and explore a soil pit.
A meal catered by Randy’s Smokehouse of Wayne City will be provided for participants.
The event is sponsored by American Farmland Trust, Peoples National Bank, and Farm Credit.
