The Edwards County Farm Bureau and Edwards County Sportsman’s Club will offer an Edwards County Hunter Safety Class on Sept ember 18th & 19th at locations in Albion.
The course will begin Friday, September 18th, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Edwards County Farm Bureau, 15 S. Fifth St. The class will continue Saturday, September 19th from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Edwards County Sportsman’s Club, 967 Route 130 North, weather permitting.
Pre-registration is required. Participants can register online through the Illinois Department of Natural Resources or by calling the Edwards County Farm Bureau at 618-445-2113, or online at: https//www.register-ed.com/programs/illinois.
Organizers say attendees must be present for the entire class. The course concludes with a 50-question multiple-choice exam, which participants must pass to receive certification.
The class is intended for ages 10 and older, although adults are welcome to attend with their children. Successful completion of the course satisfies Illinois’ hunter safety education requirement for obtaining a hunting license.
