The Fairfield Fall Fun Fest Prince and Princess Contest will be held Thursday, September 17, at 5:30 p.m. on the festival’s Main Stage.
The contest is sponsored by The Fairfield Banking Company and is open to children in first or second grade within the Fairfield Community High School district. Children must be dressed in casual clothing.
Each contestant will perform a simple talent lasting two minutes or less. Small handheld props are permitted, but soundtracks and musical accompaniment will not be allowed.
Contestants will be judged in three categories — poise, personality and performance. Participation trophies will be presented to all contestants, along with goodie bags containing ride tickets and coupons from local businesses.
Children participating in the contest should arrive at the venue no later than 5 p.m. on September 17.
The deadline to enter is 4 p.m. Monday, August 31. Entry forms, along with a recent photograph of the child, should be returned to The Fairfield Banking Company.
