A St. Francisville man was sentenced Tuesday in Wayne County Circuit Court after pleading guilty to a misdemeanor DUI charge.
21-year-old Jaren L. Ault appeared before Circuit Judge Denton Aud and pleaded guilty to DUI, a Class A misdemeanor.
Ault was sentenced to 24 months of probation and 90 days in jail, with the jail sentence to run concurrently with a sentence imposed in a separate Crawford County case. He was also ordered to pay a $1,000 fine plus court costs.
Court records indicate the Wayne County charge followed an incident 10 days after in which Ault was involved in an incident in Crawford County charging him with aggravated DUI, reckless conduct and driving while license suspended.
The sentencing documents also reference the pending or previous cases involving Ault in Lawrence and Crawford counties.
As part of the plea agreement, prosecutors agreed to dismiss two additional counts in the Wayne County case and another pending traffic case.
Ault will also be required to comply with standard probation conditions, including substance-abuse requirements and reporting to probation as directed.
