Registration is now open for the 2026 McLeansboro Kiwanis Club Fall Festival Parade, which will celebrate America’s 250th anniversary with a patriotic theme.
This year’s parade theme is “Spirit of 1776 – Celebrating 250 Years.” Organizers are encouraging businesses, organizations, groups and other participants to decorate entries in red, white and blue and take part in the celebration.
The parade will begin at 6 p.m. Saturday, September 12. Lineup opens at 4 p.m., and all entries must be in place by 5:30 p.m.
Cash prizes will be awarded in several categories. The Best Overall entry will receive $250. First-place winners for Most Creative, Most Festive and Judges Choice will each receive $125, while runners-up in those categories will receive $75.
