The deadline is approaching for children to enter the 2026 Fairfield Fall Fun Fest Prince and Princess Contest.
The contest, sponsored by The Fairfield Banking Company, will be held Thursday, September 17, at 5:30 p.m. on the Fall Fun Fest Main Stage.
The competition is open to children in first or second grade within the Fairfield Community High School district. Contestants should wear casual clothing and will perform a simple talent lasting two minutes or less. Small handheld props are permitted, but soundtracks and musical accompaniment will not be allowed.
Contestants will be judged on poise, personality and performance. All participants will receive trophies and goodie bags containing ride tickets and coupons from local businesses.
Children should arrive at the contest site no later than 5 p.m. on September 17.
The entry deadline is 4 p.m. Monday. Completed entry forms and a recent photograph of the child should be returned to The Fairfield Banking Company.
