AMERICAN PICKERS HEADING TO ILLINOIS IN SEARCH OF UNIQUE COLLECTIONS

By Mark Wells Aug 31, 2026 | 11:53 AM

Collectors across Illinois could have an opportunity to showcase their antiques and vintage treasures on national television when the History Channel’s “American Pickers” visits the state in September.

The show plans to film episodes in Illinois and Iowa and is looking for private collectors with unusual antiques, vintage items, memorabilia and other hidden treasures. Producers are particularly interested in collections with interesting stories and owners who may be willing to sell some of their items.

Potential collections could include vintage signs, classic toys, advertising memorabilia, automotive collectibles and family heirlooms.

The program is looking specifically for private collections and is not seeking antique stores, flea markets, museums or other businesses open to the public.

Those interested in being considered should provide their name, phone number, city and state, photographs of the collection and a brief description of the items.

Submissions can be emailed to americanpickers@cineflix.com or made by calling 646-493-2184.

Filming is expected to take place in Illinois and Iowa during September.
