A Halloween candy product sold at several major retailers is being recalled because it contains milk that is not declared on the packaging.
Crystal Temptations of North Arlington, New Jersey, is recalling its Chocolatey Eyeballs sold at Marshalls, TJ Maxx, HomeGoods and Sierra Trading Post stores in 13 states.
The FDA says people with an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk could suffer a serious or potentially life-threatening allergic reaction if they eat the candy.
The affected Chocolatey Eyeballs were sold in several package sizes ranging from 7 to 16 ounces. The recall covers products distributed in Arizona, California, Connecticut, Georgia, Indiana, Massachusetts, Nevada, New Jersey, North Carolina, Ohio, Texas, Virginia and Wyoming.
No illnesses have been reported.
Consumers who purchased the recalled candy are advised to destroy it. The company says customers seeking a refund should contact Crystal Temptations and provide proof of purchase.
