A West Salem man was injured Monday afternoon in a single-vehicle rollover crash on Friendsville Avenue in Wabash County.
Wabash County Sheriff Derek Morgan said deputies responded around 4:20 p.m. to the area of 16819 Friendsville Avenue.
Authorities said 77-year-old Robert E. Pixley of West Salem was driving a Ford Ranger when the truck left the roadway. Pixley reportedly overcorrected, crossed the center line and entered a ditch, where the vehicle became airborne and rolled several times before coming to rest on the driver’s side.
The Mount Carmel Fire Department stabilized the heavily damaged truck and removed the windshield and roof to safely extricate Pixley.
Pixley was transported to an Evansville-area hospital with injuries described as apparently non-life-threatening.
The crash remains under investigation.
