WAYNE COUNTY BOARD TO CONSIDER POLLING PLACE CONSOLIDATION

The Wayne County Board will meet in regular session Thursday, September 10th at 7 p.m. at the Wayne County Courthouse.

Among the items on the agenda is a request from the County Clerk’s Office to approve the consolidation of polling places for Big Mound Precincts 1 and 2 and Lamard Precinct 2 due to Americans with Disabilities Act requirements.

The board will also consider approval of minutes from its August meeting and hear reports from county offices, including the Highway Department, State’s Attorney, Circuit Clerk, Sheriff, County Clerk, Treasurer, Supervisor of Assessments, Coroner and Health Department.

Committee reports are scheduled from Claims and Finance, Sheriff, Emergency Management, Animal Control and Welfare, Road and Bridge, Insurance and Education, Building and Grounds and Safety, Economic Development, Rules and Policy, and the Liquor Commission.

The Claims and Finance Committee will also present county bills for payment.

The meeting will include opportunities for public comment and guests, along with comments and appointments from the board chairman.
