Three defendants were sentenced Thursday in Wayne County Circuit Court. Fifty-two-year-old Lige Cheek of Enfield pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct and was sentenced to one year of conditional discharge plus court costs. Cheek was ordered to have no contact with Fairfield Memorial Hospital personnel and not to enter hospital property. He also received a stayed 10-day Wayne County Jail sentence that could be imposed if he violates the terms of his conditional discharge.
Forty-six-year-old Dustin Pike of Golden Gate pleaded guilty to driving while license suspended. He was placed on 12 months of court supervision and ordered to pay court costs. Pike also received a stayed 30-day jail sentence, with day-for-day credit allowed, if he violates the terms of supervision. As part of the plea agreement, one count and one separate case were dismissed.
In another case, 21-year-old Mikkel Pierce of West Salem admitted violating a previous 24-month probation order stemming from burglary and possession of methamphetamine offenses committed in September 2023.
Pierce was sentenced to a total of six years in the Illinois Department of Corrections, with the sentence to run concurrently with an Edwards County case. He received credit for 81 days previously served in the Wayne County Jail.
