Southern Illinois first responders who helped battle Wednesday’s major fire in downtown Du Quoin are being offered free tickets to an upcoming Du Quoin State Fair concert.
The Illinois Department of Agriculture and State Fair announced that participating firefighters, police officers, EMTs and other emergency personnel can receive complimentary tickets for themselves and one guest to Randy Houser’s September 7th grandstand concert.
The offer recognizes first responders from across Southern Illinois who assisted during the fire and their families who spent hours apart while crews worked to protect the community.
Beginning Friday, eligible first responders can present a badge or identification at the Du Quoin State Fairgrounds Box Office to receive tickets while supplies last.
The box office opens at 8 a.m. Friday through Monday.
Randy Houser will perform at the State Fair Grandstand on Monday, September 7th.
