Bakers of all ages are invited to put their skills to the test during the Fairfield Fall Fun Fest Baked Goods Contest on Saturday, September 19th.
The contest will be held at the Chamber Building, with registration from 10 a.m. until noon. Entries will be judged on presentation and taste, with results announced at 1:30 p.m.
Categories include pies, a half-dozen cookies, breads, a half-dozen cakes or cupcakes, and an “other” category. Contestants may submit one entry per person, and all ages will compete in one group.
Overall prizes will be awarded to the top three finishers. First place will receive $40 in gift cards, second place $30 in gift cards and third place $20 in gift cards from participating sponsors. Honorable mentions will also be recognized in adult and youth divisions.
Save-A-Lot is sponsoring the contest, with additional prizes provided by Tropical Sno, Taylor Made Food Truck, Girly Pop and Big Boy.
