Petition packets are now available for residents interested in seeking an Albion City Council or Park Board position in the April 6, 2027 Consolidated Election.
Four alderman positions will be up for election. Ward 1 will have two seats available — one for a two-year term and another for a four-year term. Ward 2 and Ward 3 will each have one four-year position available.
Petition packets can be picked up at Albion City Hall Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Petition packets for positions on the Albion Park Board are also available.
Under Illinois’ 2027 consolidated election calendar, candidates may currently circulate petitions, with the filing period scheduled for November 16 through November 23.
