EDWARDS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS TO DISCUSS SOLAR PROJECTS, HIGHWAY BUILDING

The Edwards County Commissioners will meet Tuesday, September 8th at 9 a.m. at the Edwards County Courthouse.

Among the items on the agenda are updates and possible action involving solar developments in the county. Commissioners are scheduled to consider approval for Illinois Dynamics LLC, also known as Soltage, to begin construction on the Krajec property near West Salem. Ecoplexus is also scheduled to provide a solar project update.

Commissioners will discuss the county highway building project and hear reports from the Sheriff’s Department, County Health Office, County Highway Department, County Treasurer, landfill and EMS.

Other business includes a proposed change to VSP for vision insurance, a tax sale bill and a website proposal from Full Stadium Marketing.

The Albion Area Chamber of Commerce is scheduled to seek approval for the Artisan Festival on September 12th from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The board will also consider a Greater Wabash Regional Planning Commission resolution of support and commitment of funds.

Executive sessions involving finance and other matters are listed on the agenda.

Commissioners will also consider approval and payment of county claims before adjournment.
