The 2026 Hamilton/Wayne/White County Relay For Life season officially concluded August 31st with organizers announcing a total of $45,050 raised to support the fight against cancer.
Patricia Hodgson was the season’s Top Individual Fundraiser, raising $5,297.27. Jennifer Murphy and Aaron Rawls were recognized as All Star Fundraisers for raising more than $2,500 each.
Grand Club Fundraisers, each raising more than $1,000, included Deanna Douglas, Diane Kunkel, Cindy Anselment, Carol Bough and Pandora Reyling.
Wayne City Walkers earned recognition as the Top Team Fundraiser after raising $10,125. Teams raising more than $3,000 included Friends For Life, Team Hodgson, Hamilton County COUNTRY Crusaders, East Side Foxes and Knights of Columbus Council 8745.
Relay For Life Event Chair Janice Crow said participants may Relay for different personal reasons, but come together with the shared goal of helping those affected by cancer. Money raised supports cancer patients as well as American Cancer Society research.
The Relay Leadership Team thanked the teams, survivors, caregivers, sponsors, donors, entertainers and others who helped make the 2026 season a success.
