The Fairfield Lady Mules Volleyball team was in action Tuesday at Newton for all 3 levels. The Fairfield and Newton Freshman squads split a pair of games with Newton winning the 1st game and Fairfield winning the 2nd. The Lady Mules JV squad defeated Newton in 2 Sets, 25-21 and 26-24. The Lady Mules Varsity team fell to Newton in 3 Sets, 23-25, 25-22, and 19-25.

The Lady Mules Tennis team was in action Tuesday at the Lakeside Tennis Courts versus Mt. Vernon and came away with an impressive 8-1 victory. The Lady Mules picked up Singles wins from: Wren Braddock, Marlee Richards, Kenry Hutchcraft, Carly Fleener, and Malia Austin. The Doubles teams of Marlee Richards and Kenry Hutchcraft, Emily Vaughan and Malori Simpson, and Malia Austin and Carly Fleener also scored victories.

According to ESPN, rookie offensive tackle Max Iheanachor had at least 150-thousand-dollars in merchandise stolen from his home on August 26th, the day before the Steelers visited Buffalo for a preseason game. No suspects have been identified. In the past two years, multiple NFL and NBA players have had their homes burglarized including last month’s attempt on Eagles running back Saquon Barkley’s home.
