
A Keensburg man faces multiple felony charges following an investigation by the Wabash County Sheriff’s Department into an alleged sexual assault.
Quincy J. Franklin, 42, has been formally charged with criminal sexual assault of a family member under the age of 18, a Class 1 felony; aggravated criminal sexual abuse of a family member under 18, a Class 2 felony; and unlawful restraint, a Class 4 felony.
Authorities say information about the alleged assault was received from the Gibson County Sheriff’s Department in Indiana and was verified through a forensic interview with the alleged victim at the Guardian Center.
Franklin was arrested September 2nd at a residence in the 9400 block of Market Street in Keensburg with assistance from the Illinois Law Enforcement Alarm System SWAT Team.
During his first appearance before Circuit Judge Denton Aud, Franklin was denied pretrial release and ordered to remain in custody.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Sept. 28 in Wabash County Circuit Court in Mt. Carmel.
