On Friday night, the Fairfield Mules were on the road against Sesser-Valier-Waltonville and picked up their first win against the Red Devils since 2021 with a 34-8 victory. The Mules were led by the Vaughan’s Tire Offensive Player of the Game, Michael Barner who amassed 267 yards on 9 rushes with 4 Touchdowns. Grant Otey also went over the 100-yard mark with 11 rushes for 104 yards. Cooper Berg also added 9 rushes for 36 yards and a touchdown. The Peoples National Bank Offensive Play of the Game came early in the 1st Quarter, when Michael Barner broke free for a 96-yard touchdown run.
On Defense, the Mules were led by the Potts Family Pharmacy Defensive Player of the Game, Cooper Berg, who had 6 solo tackles and 2 assisted tackles.
