Fairfield Memorial Hospital has welcomed Dr. Sean Odell, a board-certified orthopedic surgeon, to its medical staff as an independent contractor.
Odell is fellowship trained and board certified in sports medicine and arthroscopic surgery, specializing in complex shoulder and knee injuries while also providing comprehensive orthopedic care for patients of all ages.
Odell completed additional fellowship training in sports medicine at the Ohio Orthopedic Center of Excellence, where his experience included providing care for athletes with Major League Soccer’s Columbus Crew and numerous high school athletes.
His services include total knee, hip and shoulder replacements, knee and shoulder arthroscopy, ACL repair and reconstruction, meniscus surgery, rotator cuff repair, carpal tunnel release and trigger finger release. Both surgical and nonsurgical treatment options will be offered based on each patient’s individual needs.
Fairfield Memorial Hospital CEO Andy Flemer said Odell’s training provides another valuable resource for area residents needing specialized orthopedic care close to home.
Odell will work with Physician Assistant John Nugent to provide orthopedic evaluations, treatment and follow-up care.
Dr. Odell will see patients every other Friday on the second floor of Fairfield Memorial Hospital’s Surgical Pavilion at 303 Northwest 11th Street in Fairfield.
