Ford Town Fun Fest gets underway Friday in Flora with two days of cars, food, music and family activities planned near the Flora Public Library.
Friday’s activities begin with a Cruise-In at 5 p.m. from the Beck’s Auto Sales parking lot. The event is open to all makes and models, with dash plaques for the first 100 entries. Vehicles will cruise through Flora and past Heritage Woods, giving residents an opportunity to see the cars.
Food trucks, inflatables and family yard games will be available at Library Park from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, while Just for Spite Unplugged will perform from 6 to 9 p.m.
Saturday’s activities begin at 9 a.m. with the Clay County Cruisers Car Show, along with craft and food vendors, inflatables and games. Car show registration runs from 9 a.m. until noon and costs $15. Awards will be presented to the top 75 entries along with five specialty awards.
Craft brew and chili cookoff sampling begins at noon Saturday, along with a dunking booth. Car show awards will be presented at 3 p.m., followed by craft beer and chili judging at 4.
The Chili Cookoff winner will receive a $100 gift card and have their name engraved on the Chili Cookoff plaque displayed at Flora City Hall.
Ford Town Fun Fest activities will be centered in front of the Flora Public Library, with food trucks located along East Second Street.
