A Fairfield man has been indicted by a federal grand jury on charges alleging he distributed methamphetamine in Wayne and Jefferson counties.
50-year-old Reggie L. Shemwell has been charged with two counts of methamphetamine distribution stemming from alleged offenses in May.
Count One alleges Shemwell distributed five grams or more of methamphetamine in Wayne County. Count Two alleges he distributed 50 grams or more of methamphetamine in Jefferson County.
Shemwell remains in the custody of the U.S. Marshals Service.
A hearing in U.S. District Court had been scheduled earlier this month but was continued at the request of Shemwell’s defense attorney. A new court date has not yet been set.
