One person suffered major injuries in a single-vehicle crash east of Mill Shoals Tuesday morning.
The crash happened around 8:30 a.m. on the Burnt Prairie blacktop, about a mile east of Mill Shoals near the crest of a hill known locally as Snowdrop Hill.
Authorities say a westbound pickup driven by 34-year-old Cody McKinney of Rinard swerved to avoid a van that was turning onto a side road. The pickup left the roadway and struck an embankment.
Cody McKinney was not injured in the crash. His passenger, 33-year-old Alexis McKinney of Rinard, suffered a broken leg and was airlifted to a nearby hospital for treatment of major injuries.
