The Fairfield Community High School Board of Education will meet Monday, September 21, at 6 p.m. in the FCHS Study Hall.
The evening will begin with a public hearing on the district’s proposed fiscal year 2027 budget, followed by the regular board meeting.
Superintendent reports will include updates on district finances, bank CD rates, planning for a College and Career Fair, Homecoming activities and school safety.
Under old business, the board is scheduled to consider approval of the 2026-27 budget and receive an update on strategic planning and the district’s current request for proposals.
New business includes consideration of the district’s fiscal year 2026 salary and compensation report and approval of SMIC as the supplemental insurance provider for students.
Board members will also discuss a matching School Maintenance Grant and the possibility of conducting a building feasibility study. The board is scheduled to consider allowing ADG to conduct a Building Renovation Feasibility Study.
An executive session is planned to discuss personnel, collective negotiations and property matters. After returning to open session, the board could take action on the employment of a language aide.
