The Fairfield Public School District #112 Board of Education will meet tonight (Monday) with adoption of the district’s Fiscal Year 2027 budget and the appointment of a new board member among the major items on the agenda.
The meeting begins at 6 p.m. in the Center Street School Board Room at 200 West Center Street in Fairfield.
The board will begin with a public hearing on the FY27 budget, including an opportunity for public comment. Board members are then scheduled to take action on the budget before closing the hearing.
Following the budget hearing, the board is scheduled to appoint a member to fill a board vacancy. The new member will take the oath of office, and the board will then elect a vice president.
Superintendent reports will include district revenue and expenses, food service, transportation, the annual salary and benefits report, a 10-year Health Life Safety Survey, a Bushue Human Resources agreement and a Child and Family Connections agreement.
Board members are scheduled to take action on the FY26 Salary and Benefits Report and the 10-year Health Life Safety Survey. They will also consider approval of the Bushue Human Resources and Child and Family Connections agreements.
Reports from Center Street and North Side school principals are also scheduled.
Later in the meeting, the board is expected to enter closed session to discuss personnel, safety procedures and student matters, with additional action possible after returning to open session.
