Clay County experienced another round of severe weather Sunday night into earl this (Monday) morning, bringing a tornado warning, downed tree limbs and scattered power outages.
The National Weather Service issued a tornado warning for northern Clay County around 7 p.m. Sunday after radar indicated rotation near Edgewood and Mason. At approximately 7:05 p.m., the Weather Service reported Doppler radar had indicated a tornado near Edgewood.
Clay County ESDA’s Steve Lewis reported medium-sized tree limbs down following the storm, but no other significant damage was reported.
Clay Electric Cooperative dispatched crews Sunday night to restore power following outages north of Louisville.
Rainfall totals varied across the area, ranging from about one-half inch to just over one inch by early this (Monday) morning.
