The USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service has launched AgInsights, a new online tool designed to give farmers and other agricultural data users easier access to the latest USDA statistics.
AgInsights combines tables, charts and maps into a single interactive web-based platform, allowing users to explore and compare agricultural information that previously was available across several different formats.
NASS Administrator Joseph Parsons said the new system is intended to make agricultural statistics easier for producers to access, analyze and apply to their operations.
The agency worked with an initial group of agricultural data users to test AgInsights, with their feedback helping shape the final product.
USDA says the tool is part of a broader modernization effort aimed at providing more timely and accessible agricultural information while improving access for producers who have historically faced barriers to obtaining data.
