A damaged fire hydrant left customers of the Burnt Prairie Water System with little to no water pressure for nearly a day.
The disruption began Monday afternoon after a farmer reportedly backed over a dead-end hydrant south of Burnt Prairie.
Crews worked into the overnight hours attempting to repair the damage, remaining at the site until around 2 a.m. Tuesday. The problem could not be corrected at that time, leaving customers without water throughout Tuesday morning.
Repair efforts continued Tuesday, and water service was restored early that afternoon.
