Edwards County has completed its first distribution of 2025 property taxes payable in 2026, with more than $7.7 million distributed to taxing districts.
The first distribution totaled $7,737,428.54 and was completed electronically through ACH, with funds distributed according to instructions provided by the taxing bodies.
The distribution also included forfeiture taxes received for 2024 taxes payable in 2025 involving bankruptcy parcels.
Settlement sheets are available through the Edwards County property tax website under the “County Links” section. Anyone needing additional assistance can contact the Edwards County Treasurer’s Office at 618-445-3581.
The Treasurer’s Office is also reminding property owners that the second installment of 2025 property taxes payable in 2026 is due today (Monday).
