Two people were injured Wednesday morning in a single-vehicle rollover crash in Wayne County.

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Department investigated the crash, which occurred at approximately 11:30 a.m. on County Road 925 North near County Road 2035 East in Grover Township.

According to the crash report, a 16-year-old male juvenile driver from Fairfield was traveling east on County Road 925 North in a Ford Festiva and had just crested a hill when an animal reportedly crossed into the vehicle’s path.

The driver told sheriff’s deputies he swerved to the left to avoid the animal. The vehicle then struck loose gravel along the left side of the roadway, causing it to travel sideways and begin overturning.

The vehicle came to rest upside down and facing southwest.

The driver and a 16-year-old male passenger were both treated at the scene by Wayne County Ambulance personnel.
