The Edwards County Commissioners will meet Monday, October 5, at 9 a.m. at the Edwards County Courthouse, with the fiscal year 2027 budget and several renewable energy projects among the items on the agenda.

Commissioners are scheduled to review the FY2027 budget and receive reports from Sheriff Darby Boewe, the County Health Office, County Highway Department and County Treasurer.

Under the treasurer’s report, commissioners will consider a tax sale bill, approval of the county’s FY24 and FY25 audits and two trustee resolutions involving parcels with 2022 tax sale certificates.

Several energy projects are also on the agenda. Commissioners will consider approval for Illinois Dynamics LLC, now known as Nexamp, to begin construction on the Krajec property near West Salem. Ecoplexus is seeking Phase 1 pre-construction permit approval, while Edwards 570 1 and 2, a Soltage project, is listed for completion of a post-construction certificate.

Commissioners will also consider appointing Shane Pritchett to the Edwards County Housing Authority Board.

Other business includes a State’s Attorney Appellate Prosecutor resolution and renewal of the county’s ICRMT insurance coverage, including a vote on increasing the county’s liability limit.

An executive session is scheduled for an update on the County Highway building.

Landfill and EMS matters, correspondence and discussion, and approval and payment of claims are also included on Monday’s agenda.
