On Saturday, the Center Street and New Hope Cross Country teams both competed at the DuQuoin Fall Classic Meet. Notable finishes in Class L for Center Street’s Boys were Jaise Wilkerson-97th and Cohen Richards-98th. For Center Street Girls it was Paisley Ewing-41st and Addison Lawyer-57th.

Notable finishes in Class S for New Hope’s Boys were Jayson Rawls-3rd, Hudson Weber-22nd, and Jonathan Rawls-70th. For the New Hope Girls Bristol Weber finished 18th.

(Undated) — The Panthers outlasted the Lions 32-26 from Charlotte on Sunday Night Football. Meanwhile, the early games on Sunday’s slate featured road teams earning close victories. The Patriots edged the Bills 29-26, the Rams fought back to knock-off the Eagles 24-20 and the Chiefs squeaked past the Raiders 30-27. Week Four wraps up with an NFC South showdown on Monday Night Football when the Saints and Falcons clash from the Big Easy.

>>Giants Bash Cardinals

(East Rutherford, NJ) — The Giants bashed the Cardinals 36-24 from East Rutherford. Jameis Winston threw for 250 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions. Malik Nabers caught six passes for more than 110 yards and a score as New York improved to 3-and-1. Jacoby Brissett tossed a pair of TDs to go with three interceptions for Arizona, which dropped to 1-and-3.

>>Bears Take Down Jets

(Chicago, IL) — The Bears took care of business on their way to a 23-12 victory over the Jets from Soldier Field. Tyson Bagent started under center and threw for 268 yards and an interception. Kyle Monangai led the way for the Bears after carrying the ball 30 times for 146 yards and a couple scores. Chicago is now 3-and-1. Geno Smith completed eight of his 15 pass attempts for 119 yards and a touchdown for Gang Green. New York is now 1-and-3.

>>Brewers Increase Lead And Braves Tie NLDS

(Undated) — The NLDS continued with a pair of games on Sunday. The Brewers began the day with a thrilling victory after walking off the Padres 4-3 in Game Two. Milwaukee leads the series 2-0 and will visit San Diego for Game Three on Tuesday. Elsewhere, the Braves evened their series at one game apiece following a 3-2 win over the Dodgers in Game Two. Atlanta hosts Los Angeles for Game Three on Tuesday. The ALDS resumes Monday. The White Sox visit the Guardians and the Rays host the Yankees. Chicago and Tampa Bay are both leading 1-0 after winning Game One.

>>Rangers Take Down Mammoth

(New York, NY) — The Rangers took down the Mammoth 4-2 at Madison Square Garden. Vladislav Gavrikov opened the scoring. Gabe Perreault and JT Miller also scored, while Eeli Tolvanen sealed the victory with an empty netter. New York is up to six points after winning its third straight game. Nick Schmaltz and Andrew Peeke were the goal scorers for Utah, which remains at four points after suffering its first loss of the year.

>>Texas Still Tops College Football Poll

(Undated) — Texas is still the number one team in the country in the latest college football coaches poll. The Longhorns are followed by Georgia, Notre Dame, Miami and Indiana. Missouri saw a major gain in the poll, moving up nine spots to number-16. Other schools like BYU, Texas Tech and LSU also moved up in the rankings after wins over the weekend. Meanwhile, Penn State and Michigan were dropped out of the top 25.

>>Austin Smotherman Wins Bank Of Utah Championship

(Ivins, UT) — Austin Smotherman is celebrating his first career victory on Tour after winning the Bank of Utah Championship. Smotherman won the tournament by two strokes after finishing atop the leaderboard at 26 under par. Doug Ghim finished in second place at 24 under. David Ford and Trace Crowe were tied for third at 23 under par. Defending champion Michael Brennan finished tied for 13th at 18 under.

>>Chase Briscoe Wins Vegas

(Las Vegas, NV) — Chase Briscoe took home the checkered flag in the South Point 400 from Las Vegas Motor Speedway. The driver of the Number-19 car held-off Kyle Larson in a frantic finish. Tyler Reddick managed to claim third despite losing control on the final turn while Austin Cindric and Ryan Blaney rounded out the top-five finishers. The Chase continues next Sunday when the NASCAR Cup Series heads to Charlotte Motor Speedway.
