One person was airlifted to an Evansville hospital following a three-vehicle chain-reaction crash Tuesday afternoon on Illinois Route 1 near Grayville.
The crash occurred around 4:30 p.m. in a construction zone just south of the Interstate 64 interchange.
Authorities say a passenger car struck the rear of another vehicle, pushing it into the back of a pickup truck.
One of the drivers was airlifted to an Evansville hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
The White County Sheriff’s Department handled the crash with assistance from Illinois State Police, Grayville Police and White County Ambulance.
