Area residents are invited to come together in support of local veterans during the Veterans Day Parade in Fairfield on Saturday, November 7th.
Parade lineup will begin at 1 p.m. on First Street near the High Rise, with the parade scheduled to step off at 2 p.m.
Organizers are encouraging families, friends, neighbors and coworkers to come out, wave flags and cheer on veterans during the celebration.
Those interested in participating in the parade are also invited to take part. Floats, golf carts, walkers, veterans and veterans organizations, families, clubs, businesses and other groups are welcome.
Participants do not need an elaborate float and may simply decorate a golf cart, carry a sign, wear patriotic colors or walk as a group.
Additional parade details and registration information will be announced later.
