The Willow Tree gift store at 106 East Main St. in Fairfield will close at the end of December, owners Cathy and Wes York announced.
In a statement, the Yorks said the decision was a difficult one and thanked customers, friends and employees for their support over the past 23 years.
They said they are grateful to everyone who visited the store, offered encouragement or simply stopped in to say hello, adding that the memories and relationships made through the business will remain with them.
The store’s current fall sale has been extended through Saturday, October 24th.
The owners also said they are looking forward to one final Christmas season at The Willow Tree, with additional details to be announced.
