The Jefferson County Historical Society will host its annual Candlelight Walk at the Village on Saturday, November 7th, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at 1411 North 27th Street in Mt. Vernon.
The event offers visitors an opportunity to step back in time and experience what life was like before electricity. Guests will be able to explore the historic village by candlelight while enjoying a variety of activities.
The evening will feature cookies and cider, along with singing around the campfire with Greg and Debbie Backes.
Admission to the Candlelight Walk is free, although donations to support the Jefferson County Historical Society are appreciated.
The event is sponsored by Tri-County Electric Cooperative, Tanglewood Apartments/Kitty Irvin, and People’s National Bank.
