The North Wayne Community Unit School District #200 Board of Education met Wednesday evening at Cisne Middle School, where members discussed a potential district building project, approved several routine items, and hired a full-time bus driver.

One of the main topics of discussion was a possible district building project. Board members reviewed the potential project but took no official action. Members of the public attending the meeting were given an opportunity to ask questions regarding the proposal.

During the consent agenda, the board approved minutes from the September 23 budget hearing and regular meeting, along with personal leave and dock day requests. The board also approved the use of school facilities for Pee Wee Basketball practices and Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) requests for two district employees.

In financial matters, the board approved payment of the September bills.

Board members also approved the PRESS Plus Policy Issue 122 updates and the North Wayne CUSD #200 Risk Management Program.

Following an executive session, the board approved the hiring of Betty Diefenbach as a full-time bus driver for the district.
