Nancy A. Crego (née Allison), 65, of High Ridge, Missouri, passed away Friday, October 16, 2026, at Cisne Care Center in Cisne, Illinois.
Nancy was born on December 27, 1960, to Robert and Dorothy Allison. She was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy Allison.
She is survived by her father, Robert Allison; her siblings, Charles Allison, Pam Allison, and Harlan Allison; and her two children, Chad Crego (Julie) and Alicia Lowry (Josh Corbit).
Nancy was a proud grandmother to eight grandchildren: Kayleigh Crego-Schulte, Kelsee Crego, Kenzie Crego, Kadie Crego, Connor Lowry, Clayton Lowry, Esmae Lowry, Malachi Messex-Lowry, and one more grandchild on the way.
She was also blessed with one great-grandchild, Lilith Crego-Schulte.
Nancy loved spending time with her grandchildren and making memories with her family. She enjoyed fishing and camping, never passed up a good campfire, and always loved searching for hidden treasures at garage sales. She also enjoyed volunteering at her church, where she found joy in giving her time and helping others. It was the simple things in life that brought her happiness, especially the time she spent with those she loved.
Funeral Arrangements
Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 28, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Hosselton-Meridith Funeral Home in Cisne, Illinois.
Funeral services will immediately follow visitation at 3:00 p.m., with graveside services to follow at Johnsonville Cemetery near Johnsonville, Illinois.
Following the graveside service, family and friends are invited to gather for a meal at the Johnsonville Ruritan Club.
Memorial Contributions
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Johnsonville Cemetery Grounds Maintenance Fund or the Johnsonville Ruritan Hall.
