The Wayne County Sheriff’s Department investigated a two-vehicle traffic crash Friday afternoon in Keenes.
A 2014 Ford F-150 driven by Carson K. Smith of Mount Vernon collided with a 2024 Honda Passport driven by Savanna Brooke Price of Shawneetown.
According to sheriff’s deputies, the accident occurred at approximately 4:38 p.m. near 213 East Jefferson Street as Price was traveling east on East Jefferson Street when Smith pulled away from a parked position along the roadway and struck the rear driver’s side door of Price’s vehicle.
The report indicates Smith acknowledged responsibility for the collision, stating he believed he had more room to maneuver than was actually available.
Both vehicles sustained damage, but neither driver was injured and both vehicles were able to be driven from the scene.
The Wayne County Sheriff’s Department handled the investigation.
