A Halloween celebration featuring food, costume contests, raffles, and family activities is scheduled for Saturday, at Leo French Park in Fairfield, with proceeds benefiting Oak House, a new local nonprofit organization.

The Roots & Rhythm Halloween Edition Fall Festival Fundraiser will take place from 5 until 9 p.m. at the Lake Stage in Leo French Park.

One of the evening’s highlights will be a Halloween costume contest open to participants of all ages, from infants to adults. Families are encouraged to dress in their favorite costumes and join the festivities.

Organizers will also offer a variety of homemade soups, including traditional chili, chicken noodle soup, and white chicken chili.

A suggested donation of $5 will provide a 16-ounce serving of soup, while a $10 donation includes soup, a peanut butter sandwich or crackers, bottled water, and a cookie.

Several fundraising raffles will also be held throughout the evening.

Gift basket raffle tickets will be available for $1 each or six for $5. Participants can choose which gift baskets they would like their tickets entered toward.

A 50/50 raffle will also be offered, with tickets priced at $5 each, three for $10, or six for $20.

All proceeds from the festival and fundraising activities will benefit Oak House, a newly established nonprofit organization in Fairfield dedicated to building a stronger community.

Organizers have expressed appreciation to the numerous local businesses and individuals sponsoring the event, along with Shreves Pumpkin Patch for donating pumpkins.

Community members are invited to attend the Halloween celebration, enjoy food and activities, and support Oak House as the organization works to establish itself in the Fairfield community. For more information about Oak House, call 618-262-6029 or visit oakhouseil.org.
