Wayne City High School has announced that Ava Minor, the daughter of Adam and Rachel Minor, has been selected as the school’s Senior of the Month for November.
Minor is actively involved in several school organizations and activities, including cheerleading, Beta Club, FFA, Apologetics, and Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA).
Throughout her high school career, Minor has earned several academic and extracurricular honors. Her accomplishments include School Recognition and Rural Area Recognition for the PSAT, earning her State FFA Degree, placing second in mathematics at the State Beta Club Convention, and finishing ninth in mathematics at the National Beta Club Convention.
In addition to her academic achievements and school activities, Minor works at Sweeties and also provides tutoring services.
Outside of school, she enjoys dancing, traveling, baking, and spending time with family and friends.
Following graduation, Minor plans to attend either Rend Lake College or Eastern Illinois University, where she intends to pursue a degree in mathematics education.
Her long-term goal is to return to Wayne City High School as a high school mathematics teacher, giving back to the school and community that have been part of her educational journey.
