New Hope Grade School has received an Exemplary designation from the Illinois State Board of Education as part of the recently released 2026 Illinois School Report Card.
The Exemplary designation is the highest summative rating awarded by the Illinois State Board of Education and recognizes schools demonstrating the highest levels of performance in key academic and student success areas.
The designation is based on several performance indicators, including academic achievement, student growth, attendance, school climate, and overall school performance.
Academic achievement measures student proficiency, while student growth reflects progress in academic performance. Additional indicators, including attendance and other measures of student success, contribute to the school’s overall rating.
School officials expressed pride in the achievement and credited the dedication of students, teachers, staff, families, and the community for helping New Hope earn the state’s highest designation.
In announcing the recognition, the school thanked its students, staff, families, and community members for their continued support.
