Four people were injured, including three from Flora, in a wreck Thursday afternoon. Reports said the accident occurred on U.S. Route 50 and the Iuka Road around 4 p.m. Thursday.
Marion County Sheriff’s deputies reported that a vehicle driven by 72 year old Deborah Ruholl of Flora was westbound on U.S. Route 50 and made a left turn in front of an oncoming eastbound SUV, according to police, driven by 48 year old Michael Wasion of Flora. His vehicle overturned on its side after the crash.
Wasion and two passengers, 66 year old Charleen Lister of Salem and 77 year old Samuel Wasion of Flora, were all taken to the hospital in Salem for treatment of their injuries. Lister was later taken to a St. Louis hospital. The report said Ruholl later went to Clay County Hospital in Flora on her own for treatment of her injuries. The Iuka Fire Department also assisted at the scene of the accident.
