Today is a big day for the local county elections for 2024 as petitions can now be circulated for prospective candidates.
In area clerks offices, petitions can be picked up for circuit clerk, coroner, county board, and states attorney. Precinct committeemen are also able to be elected.
The primary election for county positions will be on Tuesday, March 19th.
