The Grayville City Council spent the majority of this week’s meeting in “Executive Session.” After making quick work of the reports portion of the meeting, the council went behind closed doors for nearly an hour. According to Mayor, Travis Thompson, the executive session resulted in “no executive session action.” The City Council was discussing employment within the Police and Utilities Departments, Collective Bargaining, setting of a price for the sale or lease of property owned by the public body, and the purchase or lease of real property for use of the public body including meetings. In other business, the City Council set October 31st from 5 pm – 9 pm as Trick-or-Treat night.
