The head of the Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services is resigning. Director Theresa Eagleson announced she will be leaving the department at the end of the year. The governor has appointed Lizzy Whitehorn to serve as Director beginning January 1st. Eagleson has been director since January 2019
