During an event with University of Chicago students, Gov. J.B. Pritzker spoke about the state of gender ideology in Illinois and addressed how it works with sports. In Chicago, Pritzker joined students from UC and took questions from the crowd.
Pritzker was asked about transgender athletes and their ability to participate in sports with the opposite sex.
State Rep. Adam Niemerg, who is against trans athletes in sports, says that -quote- “biological men have no business playing in women’s sports.” Current law states that student-athletes whose gender identity is different from their sex at birth must seek eligibility from the Illinois High School Association to participate in the postseason.
